Mission Statement

The purpose of The Humane Society of West Texas is to ensure the best possible quality of life for animals and to promote respect and reverence for life. Our mission is to reach the point where our organization will no longer be necessary by: Saving and caring for every animal that we feasibly can; preventing cruelty to animals; Stopping pet overpopulation; and striving for the humane care, treatment, and well being of all animals through education, information, investigating, modeling and action.

The Swap Shop on Lubbock's 1420 AM KJDL is not only way for the community to buy and sell things, but the show also announces animals in need of a loving home. Tune in between 9-11am each morning or visit their website to learn more!
